Our Kitchen Extraction Cleaning Process
We take great care to make sure that our clients are 100% satisfied after every clean, which is why we’ve developed this scrutinous process that covers all bases.
First, you’ll get in touch with us to give us a brief overview about your kitchen and your cleaning needs. After this, we’ll arrange to come out to your kitchen at a time that suits you so that we can carry out a comprehensive survey that gives us all the information we need to plan your clean, before discussing that plan with you alongside our quote.
Once this has been agreed upon, our carefully selected team will then come out to you at a time that minimises disruption to your business. We’ll hand clean your kitchen to an exceptional standard that complies with all insurance and industry requirements, before applying a surface sanitising polish to give a clean shine finish.
At completion, our team will test all gas and electrical cooking equipment that we have encountered during your clean as well as testing your extraction fan and taking performance related anemometer readings.
Our designated team leader will then walk you through your clean, showing you the works performed and highlighting any restricted areas or defects.
All information gathered by our service team during your clean is then passed on to our Aftercare team and a Post Clean Verification Report (PCVR) is generated and delivered to you electronically within 7 days post clean.
Your site specific Post Clean Verification Report (PCVR) will contain all before and after pictures, COSHH data sheets, restricted areas, defect reports, recommendations, micron readings and schematic drawings.
First, you’ll get in touch with us and give us some details about your kitchen and your needs.
Next, we’ll visit your site to carry out an in depth survey and risk assessment before agreeing on the price and scope of the clean.
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Sed et metus eu nisi ullamcorper efficitur. Integer sodales justo non dui dapibus, nec tristique ante viverra. Fusce ut bibendum ipsum.
Once the clean is completed, we’ll take you through the kitchen to make sure you’re 100% satisfied with the clean.
TR19 ® Kitchen Extraction Cleaning & BESCA Vent Hygiene Compliance
TR19 ® Certification & Kitchen Canopy Cleaning
Without proper cleaning and maintenance, your air ducts can present a number of unwanted problems for your business, ranging from poor hygiene to a significantly increased risk of fire. This is not to mention that a failure to meet TR19 ® requirements, may invalidate your business insurance policy.
Through our expert kitchen extraction cleaning service, we help you to avoid all of these issues. Our teams are put through rigorous training regimes and programmes preparing them for the best way to get your air ducts back up to a regulation standard of cleanliness in no time.
After your clean is complete, our aftercare team will provide you with your TR19 ® certificate, along with our findings and recommendations on how you can keep your air ducts in the cleanest possible condition.
BESCA Vent Hygiene Register (VHR) Certification
With an unaccredited cleaning service provider comes the risk that your air ducts aren’t being cleaned to the standard that they should.
Only BESA accredited members like ourselves, can certify that a ventilation ducting has been cleaned up to a TR19 ® standard keeping you, your customers and your business safe.
At Coming Clean, we’re also a member of the Vent Hygiene Register (VHR). The Vent Hygiene Register (VHR) and TR19® are recognised by London Fire Brigade, British Standards and many insurers including the RISC Authority.
More tenders with large contractors, government and local authorities now specify they want VHR members to complete the specialist cleaning work.
Beyond creating a safer and more hygienic environment, this also helps to keep your insurance provider happy and safe in the knowledge that your kitchen is being given the best level of protection possible.
So whether you want a one off clean to get your kitchen back up to scratch, or prefer a regular cleaning service to keep your ducts at a high level of cleanliness, we’re here to help.
TR19 ® Kitchen Extraction Cleaning & BESCA Vent Hygiene Compliance

BESCA Vent Hygiene Register (VHR) Certification
Using an unaccredited cleaning service provider poses the risk that your air ducts may not be cleaned to the necessary standard.
Only BESA-accredited members, like us, can certify that ventilation ducting has been cleaned to a TR19® standard, ensuring the safety of you, your customers, and your business.
At Coming Clean, we are proud members of the Vent Hygiene Register (VHR). The VHR and TR19® are recognised by the London Fire Brigade, British Standards, and many insurers, including the RISC Authority.
An increasing number of tenders with large contractors, government bodies, and local authorities now specify that VHR members must complete specialist cleaning work.
In addition to creating a safer and more hygienic environment, this also assures your insurance provider that your kitchen receives the highest level of protection.
So, whether you require a single deep clean to bring your kitchen up to standard or a regular maintenance service to ensure ongoing cleanliness in your ducts, we are here to assist you.
TR19 ® Certification & Kitchen Canopy Cleaning
Failing to properly clean and maintain your air ducts can cause several issues for your business, such as compromised hygiene and a heightened fire risk. Additionally, not adhering to TR19 ® standards may invalidate your business insurance policy.
Our professional kitchen extraction cleaning service is designed to prevent these problems. Our teams receive thorough training to ensure they can quickly and effectively restore your air ducts to meet regulatory cleanliness standards.
Once the cleaning is finished, our aftercare team will issue your TR19 ® certificate and provide a comprehensive report with findings and suggestions to help you maintain your air ducts in optimal condition.

What our clients say
Benefits of Regular Kitchen Canopy Cleaning
Whatever kitchen you’re in, it’s always important to keep it clean and safe. But when it comes to commercial kitchens, the stakes are raised. Failure to clean your commercial kitchen to a high standard can lead to contaminated food being served to a large number of people, something that most businesses will see as one of the worst things that can happen in their kitchen.
But beyond avoiding repercussions, there are also many benefits of keeping your kitchen at a high level of cleanliness. From saving yourself money by prolonging your equipment’s lifespan and improving your energy efficiency to reducing the risk of fire, a regular cleaning service quickly pays for itself.
What’s more, it also helps you comply with insurance and industry regulations, showing your customers and stakeholders that you take your kitchen’s hygiene and safety seriously.
Kitchen Canopy Cleaning
When it comes to keeping your kitchen canopy in great condition, it can require more than just regular cleaning. There are almost always changes and improvements you can make to your extraction system that mean it will stay clean and in a good condition for longer.
In addition to cleaning your kitchen’s extraction system, we help you make sure that it’s well maintained and optimised for cleanliness. We’re able to supply and install ventilation panels in your duct system to make them more accessible for cleaning, and can also provide canopy filters in a range of materials that can improve airflow and help protect your extract system.

The simplest answer is yes. The majority of insurance companies will insist on a clean every 12 months as a minimum but be careful to check your policy terms as some request cleans every six months for kitchens in operation for 12 hours or more, where there’s accommodation on site or where grease accumulation is higher than the average kitchen.
As a BESA accredited member and part of the Vent Hygiene Register (VHR), we’re able to provide you with TR19 ® certification. We’ll also provide you with a Post Clean Verification Report (PCVR) at the end of every clean, Within your Post Clean Verification Report (PCVR), you will receive before and after photographs, micron readings, defect reports, COSHH data sheets, detailed schematic drawings outlining all successfully cleaned areas and any areas of restriction. The report will also offer recommendations for solving issues found during your clean.
